The Instagram bot serves as an additional communication channel for your Facebook page. Create a public page and app on Facebook. If you already have these, you can skip this step.
To use Instagram, you need to switch (or create) your primary account to a business account. Go to Settings and select Add or Switch Accounts.
When creating your account or afterward through the Account Center, you need to link your Instagram business account to your Facebook account.
In the settings of the created Facebook application, add the Messenger product from the list (if not already connected). Next, navigate to the Messenger - Instagram Settings menu. Inside the settings, scroll down to the Access Tokens section. Click Generate Token next to your page and copy it.
Go to the Sales menu -> Sales Spaces. This menu displays all spaces where products or services will be sold. To create a new space, click the Create Sales Space button. Enter a name and click the Create button.
Next, navigate to the Integrations section. Here you will see a list of connected integrations. Clicking on a created integration opens its settings. To create a new integration, click the Add Integration button. Enter a name, select the integration type - chatbot, and connect a category catalog. We create catalogs on the adjacent tab. This is a list of categories for the products you wish to sell with this integration.
After creation, the system will open the settings page. Navigate to the Chatbots section.
This section is for connecting the created chatbots. To connect, click the Add button.
After adding the integration, reopen the settings and copy the Webhook URL and Webhook Verification Token fields. Go back to the Messenger product settings on Facebook - Instagram Settings. Scroll to the Webhooks section and click Edit Callback URL. Paste the URL and token you copied earlier, then click Confirm and Save. Click the Edit Subscriptions button - check all the boxes and save.
